My local bicycle club, the New York Cycle Club, is conducting a worldwide bicycle accident survey. The results will be freely published as part of a cycling risk assessment study used for educational and advocacy purposes . Please consider entering one or more accident survey responses. The more responses, the more meaningful the results will be. Thank you.http://www.nycc.org/ras/

From Mark Orton:The Keystone Race in Sand Springs, OK for this weekend has been officially postponed due to the heavy rains that have fallen there the past 24 hours and the forecast heavy rains later this week.
A new date has not yet been set, but look for the date to be after the Red Dirt Rendezvous in late June or July.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but for all concerned, this postponement is a good thing!
Thanks,
Mark Orton

Hello all! The website has been updated, for a number of reasons. Most of it had to do with some general housecleaning, but a good deal of it had to do with the spam attacks we have been under for the last few weeks. The biggest change is that you will now be required to be a member of our email list to post or reply. I'm sorry to have to do that, it's a compromise between spam and going to full usernames and passwords.
Let me know what you think.
Oh - one more thing I'll be doing in the next few days is posting the ride schedule for next year in the calendar.

My apologies. I've let the website go for a while and am now cleaning it up again. I have made some changes to the board area, and will start blocking the IPs of the spammers who have been cluttering the message board up. The site won't be let go like this again.marko

Hi, I'm pretty much a noob to road and MTB riding. I am currently looking for a bike, I havent riden for a long long time and Its something I just rediscovered, and I love riding. I have no idea what kind of bike to get, I like BMX freestyle bikes but would they be ok to ride with the road or MTB group? Plus the wife says I would like dumb riding a BMX because she says they are for kids o.O I see plenty of pro BMXers riding... anyway, my point being, I am looking to ride long distances and ride trails but also for casual riding and maybe trying to learn some tricks... would I be better off getting a road bike or MTB for now and riding with the road/MBT group, and then trying to get a BMX later? or is there like a good all-in-one BMX. I really dont know much about them =\Thanks for your time and I hope I can be riding with you all shortly...

I'm heading over to Talihina State Park sometime in the first 2 weeks of Sept to camp out w/ my family and check out some singletrack on the Ouachita trail system. I've never ridden there. Is anybody interested in joining me for a few rides in the area?
Also, does anyone have suggestions for nice tent camping spots in the area? (Talihina seems a bit expensive for simple tent camping).

I hear Al's Bicycles on the South Side of OKC has the first SRAM Force Road Group available in Oklahoma. It's equivalent to Dura Ace but has SRAM's new double click shifting.Nam (nnp106@hotmail.com)

Gary Fisher Dual Susp for sale in Yukon 08/16/05I have a 2001 Gary Fisher Sugar 2 dual suspension bike for sal -- or will trade (full or partial) for a cyclocross bike or cool road bike (54-56 cm)
My bike is a Medium, it's red, has Manitou MARS 80mm fork and Cane Creek Rear air shock. Brand new Continental Vapor tires. Components are in great shape. Frame has a dent in the downtube -- has not affected the frame alignment (I had it checked).
I think my bike is worth $650 (it was $1600 new). Feel free to make reasonable offers.
